1 - Re-edit Your Last Message

The feature to edit your last message is really amazing. You can re-edit your last message if you made any mistake or error. Simply press the up-arrow key; your last message will display which you can edit and resend.

2 - Make calls from contact list

You can enable this feature to make calls from your contact list directly. Simply enable it from main Skype window. First click on “Tools” and then “Options” button. Now, go to “General Settings” and check the check box stating “When I double-click on a contact start a call”. This will not only save your time but efforts too.

3 - Enable Keyboard Shortcuts

Shortcuts are quick way to perform any action without search from Skype window. You can enable keyboard shortcuts from main Skype window; here click on “Tools”, then click on “Options”, now click on “Advanced” buttons, here select “Hotkeys” and finally click on “Enable keyboard shortcuts” check button.

4 - Set Up Your Caller ID

When you make calls on phones with your Skype id then it will show some unknown number which may be annoying to others. You can make your own number to be flash on others screen so they will find it familiar. Simply click on Skype menu and find “Account” button. A new webpage will open; now click on “Caller ID” button and from next page choose you “Country/Region” and “Phone number”. Then click on “Verify Number”. Afterward your number will reflect when you will call anyone.

5 - Backup and transfer contacts

You can take back-up of all your Skype contacts easily and restore them once again on any of your Skype account. From Skype main window you need to click on “Contacts” then click on “Advanced” and click on “Backup Contacts to File”. This can save as .vcf file in your computer.

To restore this backup, sign-in once again and click on “Contacts” then click on “Advanced” and click on “Restore Contacts from File”. Now your backup contacts can be seen here.
